Creative Marketing is a unique specialization that will prepare you for a wide range of creative and creative-managerial professions. Already during your studies, you will acquire knowledge and skills that graduates of Czech universities and colleges significantly lack when entering advertising and media operations. You will get the opportunity to develop your talent and apply your originality, but you will also learn to align your ideas with a client’s requirements and implement them in accordance with other team members. Yes, the creative industry is still looking for strong personalities willing to experiment and break stereotypes, but if you do not learn to collaborate and communicate, you have no chance.
Photography and Audiovisual Arts (CZ)

The aim of this programme is to provide the future photographers and film-makers with the extensive knowledge and craft needed in order to succeed in the creative industries, and at the same time to foster the ability to experiment and push the boundaries. Thanks to Prague University of Advertising’s partnership with national and multinational companies, the practical part of the study takes place in authentic practical environment. A pillar of the Photography and Audiovisual Arts specialization are creative studios focused on individual photographic and audiovisual genres, as well as practical tasks of a technical nature. In the studios you will work with themes that emphasize both free and applied work, designed for printed and electronic outputs.
You will acquire the ability to express yourself, not just visually, on current marketing, social and cultural topics. You will learn the basic rules of working with composition and light, principles of art based on the assignment; you will acquire skills in the field of prepress preparation and digital processing of image and sound. Of course there is an ongoing reflection of current events in the field of photography and audiovision, from which the assignment of specific projects will also be based. The Prague University of Advertising will offer annually updated specialized creative courses in which you will meet masters of their profession. For the best of you, we will arrange study stays at foreign universities. Part of studying at Prague University of Advertising is, for sure, the cooperation of students of all disciplines and specializations in real orders.
Creative implementation procedures
The aim of the study is to prepare students for mastering custom work in the field of photographic and audiovisual production and for mastering creative implementation procedures. In the studios, students have been working on semester projects since the beginning, which are divided into short-term art-technical seminars and author’s exhibition projects. During the first year, the students can handle the basic compositional and expression means of static and dynamic image, its recording and processing. Students will get to know studio photography practice, which includes creation with sensing and lighting technology, basics of post-production, color management and work with professional programs for photo and video processing. An integral part of the study is, from the first year, involvement in projects that have the parameters of real orders. Students participate in competitions and workshops with guests.
Students deepen their acquired knowledge with an accent on their own author’s work, which is based on fixed technical, theoretical and thought base. Their role as a photographer in the environment of creative communication is established; the subjects develop students’ creative thinking for instance in the field of advertising, portraiture, illustration of literary work, music video or fashion video, sporting events, architecture, etc. There are also inter-studio projects linked with the area of practice of orders. Thanks to close contact with contemporary theorists, designers, audiovisual artists and leading experts in the field of media, marketing and advertising agencies, students have the opportunity to expand their thought background, which is important for their own practical activities.
Implementation and practice
Output in the third year leads to the autonomy and individuality of visual communication with a view to specific market requirements. An integral part of the study is practice in an advertising agency or photographic studio. The main goal of the final year is the realization of the bachelor’s thesis. To prepare for the final work, a specialized seminar is used, in which the student learns about the methodological bases, the choice of appropriate literature and the formalities of the professional text.
