The College of Creative Communication (VŠKK) will hold an international conference in May this year on the theme of Creative Writing.
Thanks to a strong cultural influence of the Anglo-Saxon or, to be more precise, North-American environment, creative writing has become a subject/field of study which to a considerable extent determines the face and direction of the so-called globalization process with which we have to cope whether we want it or not.
Creative writing classes have been gradually taking roots on the European continent, albeit on different levels (courses for general public, seminars in secondary schools, specialized schools of higher education, colleges and universities) as it can be seen in the cases of Italy, Finland, Germany and other countries.
So what is the situation like in the Czech Republic and Slovakia nowadays?
The answer should be given at the international scientific conference held by the College of Creative Communication on May 9th, 2019.
We cordially invite you to participate in the conference as one of the lecturers or as an audience who will come with the aim of gaining current knowledge from the development of creative writing teaching.
Contributions will be presented in Czech, Slovak or English. The output of the conference will be published in a journal.
We hope that the topic of the conference has drawn your attention and you will find a time slot in your diary to participate in the conference either as a lecturer or as an audience of current stimuli and interesting issues from creative writing teaching.
